Silversea's Silver Wind Completes Two Week Drydock Refurbishment

Silversea Cruises' Silver Wind completed a refurbishment during a two-week dry dock in Palermo, Italy this month.

Enhancements include a complete makeover for the ship's specialty restaurant Le Champagne, the only Relais & Châteaux restaurant at sea. The dining venue has been entirely transformed with an upgraded entrance design, the addition of backlit wine displays, a redesigned seating layout and new wood flooring, fabrics and window treatments.

The ship's suites, public spaces and dining venues have been freshened up with the installation of stylish new carpets, new upholstery and other soft goods in an overall color palette of warm earth tones. The Bar has all new furniture and furnishings in a contrasting color scheme of cooler shades of teal mixed with neutral tones of brown and beige.

Other highlights include brand new tiling and deck furniture in the pool area and a redesigned buffet area in the specialty restaurant La Terrazza.

Rounding out the refurbishment was a fresh reconditioning and polishing of teak decks and woodwork. The ship also underwent maintenance on mechanical and propulsion systems.
