Spirit of Yorktown Refurb Complete

After a five-week wetdock, Cruise West has completed renovations and upgrades of its 138-passenger Spirit of Yorktown. Four cabins were created that have private teak-floored balconies, queen beds and refrigerators. Additional upgrades were made to public spaces, specifically the Observatory Lounge, which received new upholstery, carpeting and lights. The total combined price of renovations amounted to over $2 million. Guests also can look forward to a new onboard art program, which includes a visual history of the more than seven-decade old Alaskan cruise line. The ship's next voyage is a roundtrip Sea of Cortez cruise from Cabo San Lucas departing December 22. Visit www.cruisewest.com. (DE)
