UnCruise to Sail its First Summer Cruises in Hawaii

UnCruise Adventures introduced its first summer cruises to the Hawaiian Islands. It will offer six departures in July and August, sailing weeklong small ship cruises roundtrip out of Moloka’i and exploring Lana’i, the Big Island of Hawai’i and the waters off West Maui.

The new Aloha Hawaii Adventure Cruise starts out on Moloka’i. Here, guests will meet a local Halawa Valley family and learn how to make poi from taro root. Then they will take a locals-led hike to a waterfall where they can go swimming should they choose. Finally, in the evening, guests will join a pa’ina feast in town, where there will be local cuisine, music and dancing.

On the island of Lana’i, visitors will hike up to Sweetheart Rock and visit the Lana’i Culture and Heritage Center. Passengers will then go snorkeling off the coast of West Maui in an area where green sea turtles have been known to visit for shell cleaning by small fish. In Honomalino Bay, an evening snorkel will take guests up close to a giant manta ray feeding area. At the Big Island of Hawai’i passengers will kayak through lava tubes and stroll the streets of historic Kailua.

Travelers will sail aboard UnCruise Adventures’ 36-guest Safari Explorer. Meals on board feature produce and meat sourced on Moloka’i. Sustainable seafood is sourced from local fishermen at the Honolulu fish market.
