Virgin Voyages Expands Sales Team Footprint in North America

Virgin Voyages is bolstering its sales and support teams in North America and promoting key individuals to elevated roles. The ocean cruise line is growing its support team by 150 percent. Based at the brand’s headquarters in Plantation, FL, these additional team members will support travel advisors with securing commissions (16 percent and no NCFs); registering advisors for the Seacademy, the brand’s educational sales platform; and creating a login and signing up for FirstMates.com.

The line is also increasing the number of sales managers in the field by 55 percent, besides establishing a dedicated sales manager based in Canada. The company is also doubling its team in South Florida and adding representatives in the Carolinas and Tennessee; and in eastern Pennsylvania, northern New Jersey and Ohio. It has also started partnering with advisors in Puerto Rico ahead of Valiant Lady’s itineraries to San Juan starting in November.

Several senior leaders have been promoted to elevated roles to guide the sales strategy across North America. Atlanta-based Kristy Giragosian has been promoted to senior manager of national accounts; Los Angeles-based Lindsey Wagner has been promoted to senior sales manager covering the central and western U.S.; Washington, D.C.-based Rosalynn Domdom has been promoted to senior sales manager of the eastern U.S.; and Miami-based Julia Glick has been promoted to senior sales manager of the southern U.S. Additionally, Sabrina Newman, co-host of Virgin Voyages’ “The Monday Sip” podcast, has been promoted to manager of trade engagement.

“In just one year, Virgin Voyages has launched two ships and built an incredible brand that offers an unparalleled experience that First Mates and their clients can get excited about,” said John Diorio, VP of sales, North America. “Growing our sales presence into new North American markets is the next natural step, and I’m eager to see our Sales Crew thrive in these elevated roles and engage with new and existing First Mates.”

Scarlet Lady celebrated its first year of operations in early August and Valiant Lady will reposition to South Florida this fall. Resilient Lady gears up for its inaugural voyage next May from Athens while Brilliant Lady, the brand’s fourth ship, is set to debut at the end of 2023.
