Virgin Voyages Launches Free Cruise, Tattoo Promotion

Virgin Voyages is counting down to its official launch with a promotion offering travelers the chance to win a free microtattoo and a free cruise onboard the line’s first ship, the Scarlet Lady

The promotion has two parts. For those in New York City, the cruise line has teamed up with Soho Ink in Manhattan on a special limited-time event. On Saturday, October 20, starting at 12 p.m., the first 100 people who arrive at Soho Ink will get a free microtattoo and a chance to win a free cruise for two. Guests will be able to select from a number of nautical designs by Lou Rubino and his team created exclusively for Virgin Voyages. After they receive their tattoo, guests will be able to take a picture of it and post it on Instagram with #VVSquidInk, tagging the line @VirginVoyages, for a chance to win the free cruise.

Those who cannot make it to New York can also enter for a chance to win the free cruise by entering their email address here

Virgin Voyages said that the promotion aims to celebrate the nautical history of tattoos. The line is a new, adults-only cruise brand from Sir Richard Branson’s Virgin Group that’s set to debut with the launch of the Scarlet Lady in 2020. Plans call for three ships from shipbuilder Fincantieri with launch dates in 2020, 2021 and 2022, each with a capacity of 2,700 guests ages 18 and up. The Scarlet Lady will homeport in Miami, operating Caribbean itineraries. Bookings for the brand’s first sailings are expected to open by the end of the year.
