Valiant Lady Arrives in Miami, to Begin Sailings to Caribbean

Virgin Voyages has announced that it is welcoming its second ship, Valiant Lady, to Miami. Valiant Lady will join its sister ship, Scarlet Lady, in PortMiami for its inaugural voyage on October 30.

Launching its U.S.-based operations just over a year ago, Virgin’s newest ship, Valiant Lady, will set sail from PortMiami on six- and eight-night itineraries including Roatan, San Juan and St. Croix. All itineraries will include stops at the brand’s Beach Club at Bimini. The voyage will include Halloween celebrations and a Guinness World Record attempt for the most mermaids in one place at the Beach Club.

Richard Branson, founder of Virgin Group, will join the initial part of Valiant Lady’s first voyage from PortMiami. “When I first had the idea of getting into cruising over 40 years ago, I could not have imagined where we are today. What the team at Virgin Voyages has created is beyond my wildest dreams. It’s an incredible feeling to be welcoming Valiant Lady and the amazing crew on board to Miami and to have our two lady ships side by side in PortMiami. I can’t wait for everyone to have the chance to sail with us and enjoy a truly memorable holiday,” said Branson.

Valiant Lady is currently in route to Miami, crossing the Atlantic Ocean, and is set to arrive in the early hours of Sunday, October 30. The ship will then make its Miami debut, setting sail from the brand’s new homeport at Terminal V, a $160 million, LEED Gold facility.
