Virgin’s Resilient Lady Headed for Australia in 2023

Virgin Voyages is setting its sights on Australia and New Zealand with plans to go "Down Under" starting in 2023. Resilient Lady, the third vessel in the line’s four-ship fleet, will set sail on a transcontinental journey from Athens to Sydney. Three individual itineraries in the 44-night haul include: “Ancient Athens to Modern Dubai," “Dubai Delights to Singapore Sights,” and “Singapore, Bali and Australia.”

After this journey home, the ship will arrive at Station Pier in Port Melbourne, Victoria. Resilient Lady is an exclusively adult cruise ship created by a group of interior designers. The ship will take guests to destinations across Australia, including Hobart and Burnie in Tasmania, along with Sydney in New South Wales. It will also make its way to New Zealand with itineraries that include ports of call in Picton, Napier, Tauranga, Auckland, Christchurch and Dunedin.

Resilient Lady will depart from Melbourne, offering a mix of itineraries, ranging from two to 14 nights. Guests can savor culinary offerings at six signature restaurants and cuisine from more than 14 other eateries (all included). HIIT and bungee classes are also offered. Guests can also enjoy festival-like entertainment, lounge by the pool or relax at the Redemption Spa. On-shore excursions will include locally driven experiences.

“Australia has a very special place in my heart, and we can’t wait for Australians & New Zealanders to meet our Resilient Lady and experience all that she has to offer in true Virgin style,” Virgin Group founder Sir Richard Branson said in a press release. “For more than 50 years, Virgin companies have been innovating and making industries better for our customers. Virgin Voyages is very much charting its own path, offering a fresh perspective on cruise travel with all the elements of the Virgin experience that people love.”

Resilient Lady will sail through Australia and New Zealand from December 11, 2023 through March 27, 2024. Reservations are open, and passengers can avail up to 30 percent discount on fares.
