Visit "Mamma Mia!" Filming Sites With New Star Clippers Cruise

With "Mamma Mia! Here We Go Again" about to premiere July 20, Star Clippers announced a new seven-day Mamma Mia Highlights itinerary. Sailing through the Greek isles, the cruise will take passengers to a variety of locations from the original film.

The ship will stop at the island of Skopelos, site of two major "Mamma Mia" locations. At the top of a 300-foot cliff, guests will see the chapel of Agios Ioannis sto Kastri, where Sophie was going to be married. Elsewhere on the island, travelers will visit ‘Villa Donna’ and the beach Kastani. Also on the itinerary is the island of Skiathos, where the three fathers first met and the home of the St. Kiolaos Bell Tower.

The Mamma Mia Highlights cruise will make three departures: May 18, June 29 and August 17. The ship will sail round trip from Athens, also stopping in Dikili in Turkey and Myrina Limnos and Poros in Greece. Passengers will sail aboard one of Star Clipper’s traditional tall ships, Star Flyer.

Operating for more than 25 years, Star Clippers transports passengers throughout the Caribbean, Mediterranean, Indonesia and eastern Asia. Its tall clipper ships provide a traditional sailing experience with the luxuries of modern cruises. Its newest ship, Flying Clipper, will launch in late 2018.
