UnCruise Adventures Adds New Itinerary for Wine Lovers

UnCruise Adventures has announced an updated wine itinerary. Week-long cruises aboard the 88-guest S.S. Legacy depart round-trip from PortlandOregon along the ColumbiaSnake and Willamette rivers and explore one of the country’s most renowned wine regions.

The updated “Rivers of Wine” itinerary adds a day of wine tasting in the Willamette Valley, home to more than 500 wineries and known for its Pinot Noir. A visit to the Walter Clore Wine and Culinary Center has also been added.

The S.S. Legacy is schedule for seven departures between April and October, visiting wineries and vineyards in five leading Washington and Oregon wine regions. A sommelier and local wine expert sail aboard the ship for wine tastings, pairings and presentations.

“The Pacific Northwest is one of the country’s best wine regions and combines award-winning wineries with a gorgeous natural setting,” said Captain Dan Blanchard, CEO. “There’s no better way to experience this area than by cruising down the river with a wine expert on board.”

In addition to winery visits and tastings, guests are treated to a lunch at Terra Blanca Winery and Estate Vineyard and private wine production and cave tours at Archer Vineyard and Maryhill Winery. Cruisers will also have the opportunity to visit the Columbia River Gorge National Scenic Area, Multnomah Falls, and Palouse Falls canyon to take in some of the regions surrounding beauty.

The S.S. Legacy emulates steam ships from the 1900s. Throughout the ship's three decks, there are an assortment of public spaces including an elegant dining room, Grand Salon with dance floor, wine bar and Pesky Barnacle Saloon.
