Aeromexico Announces New Routes To Mexico from Chicago

Aeromexico recently announced a new daily flight between Chicago’s O’Hare International Airport and Leon/ Guanajuato, Mexico with a stopover in Monterrey.

The new route will operate with an Embraer 190 and officially launch on July 4 with the flight to Chicago from Monterrey; while the flight to Leon/Guanajuato will begin on the following day.

“Monterrey is one of Aeromexico’s key hubs, and the stopover in Mexico’s industrial capital allows passengers from Chicago to reach popular cities and favorite beach destinations, such as Puerto Vallarta or the colonial city of Queretaro and many more,” said Jorge Goytortua, Aeromexico’s vice president of sales for North America, in a written release. “Monterrey plays a crucial role in the business development between the U.S. and Mexico and Aeromexico makes it convenient for travelers to get there from virtually anywhere the airline flies.”

With these additional frequencies, Aeromexico adds to its already extensive range of daily flights, for both business and leisure travelers interested in discovering Leon, Guanajuato. The stop-over in Monterrey will allow business travelers to visit Mexico's second largest industrial city, also Aeromexico’s second largest hub within the country.
