LAS VEGAS--What's hot in Africa? Travel Agentfound out when we visited with African Travel, Inc. during's 13th International Conference and Trade Show.

The two hottest destinations in Africa right now are Kenya and South Africa, due to the romantic milestones that have occurred in each (the royal proposal at the Rutundu Log Cabins in Kenya and the Bachelor season finale in Cape Town and Lion Sands reserve).

In response to the huge increase in interest to the South Africa region, the country has launched a new campaign titled "Leave Ordinary Behind." Agents can visit the destination's Facebook page at to view the special offerings, interactive maps and enter the chance to win an iPad.

Travel Agent also learned that Zambia is on the rise and African Travel, Inc. will be rolling out some new packages in October to promote the destination. Teaser: African Travel, Inc. has its own "serengeti" plain in the country, known as the Busanga Plains. In partnership with sister company Wilderness Safaris, guests can visit and stay at the tented camp for an authentic, isolated Africa experience.
