Alain Ducasse, one of France’s most famous chefs, has declared London the gastronomic capital of the globe, according to the Telegraph. In the process, he lambasts the Michelin Guide for failing to acknowledge the British revolution. Perhaps somewhat ironically, Michelin has recently awarded Ducasse's restaurant at London’s Dorchester Hotel its greatest prize, three stars.

In the article, Ducasse says that London offers more varied dining experiences than Paris. “In Paris we have bistros, then we have fine dining. In London you have a very contemporary scene with mixed influences.” He points to three recent “undercover” London experiences at Café Anglais, Roka and Launceston Place..." All three restaurants, he feels, deserve greater Michelin recognition.
