AMResorts Expands Its Dreams Brand to the U.S. Virgin Islands

On December 22, first guests Mr. & Mrs. Greenwood and their two daughters joined AMResorts Corporate Director of Entertainment & Brand Management Rod Gahr, Dreams Sugar Bay St. Thomas Preferred Club Concierge Lovia Conow, Dreams Sugar Bay St. Thomas General Manager Andreas Meinhold, AMResorts Regional Director of Operations (Caribbean) Luis Tirado and Dreams Sugar Bay St. Thomas Preferred Club Manager Ana Laura Maes Hernández in celebrating the resort's official opening.

AMResorts, an Apple Leisure Group subsidiary, officially opened its first property in the U.S. and 36th overall in the form of the new Dreams Sugar Bay St. Thomas. 

The introduction of this new hotel for the Dreams Resorts & Spas brand marks another milestone for AMResorts, as the company enters a new territory.

AMResorts assumed operations of the 294-room Sugar Bay Resort & Spa on July 1, at which point the resort began renovations to bring the property to brand standards. The project included upgrading all guest rooms, with 100 rooms updated to Preferred Club level.

Dreams Sugar Bay St. Thomas is located in the U.S. Virgin Islands and there is no passport required for U.S. citizens’ entry. 

Clients of the 297-room resort will appreciate the resort’s authentic island décor and secluded beach access. Couples and couples with children will enjoy all the customary benefits of the brand’s Unlimited-Luxury experience, where everything is included from elegant rooms and suites with Caribbean décor to room service and concierge service.

Resort amenities also include three interconnecting pools with caves and waterfalls; land and water activities such as mini golf, a bumper-boats pool, tennis, snorkeling, non-motorized water sports, beach and water volleyball; and a fitness center.

The Dreams Spa by Pevonia offers an array of revitalizing treatments and hydrotherapies to choose from. The resort also offers a wedding gazebo and reception spaces.
