St. Lucia's twin resorts, Anse Chastanet and Jade Mountain, recently announced the hiring of Stefan Goehcke, who will join the two luxury hotels as has their new executive chef.
Goehcke has worked in Michelin-starred restaurants and a host of high end eateries in the culinary capitals of the world but he was drawn to St. Lucia and the twin resorts Anse Chastanet and Jade Mountain partly because of their commitment to organic food and to their use of local produce.
"I am thrilled to be working closely with the rest of the team and to delight our guests with memorable dining experiences," said Goehcke in a written release. "To be able to receive fresh produce from our organic farm is a great plus."
Guests at both Anse Chastanet and Jade Mountain can visit the resorts' organic farm and the chocolate laboratory. Cooking and chocolate truffle making classes as well as chocolate sensory tastings are all offered.
