Aqua Hospitality Offers Deal Themed Around Government Shutdown

Aqua Bamboo Waikiki The current federal government shutdown is demonstrating that it's no fun to have Congress in charge of your paycheck, so Aqua Hospitality is inviting all government employees to enjoy a special discount at many of Aqua's properties in Hawaii.

For as long as the government shutdown lasts, government employees, including members of the military, can book rooms for 17 percent off best available rates at participating properties in Hawaii (a nod to the 17 years since the last shutdown).

The discount will only be bookable during the shutdown period, but can be used for stays through December 31. The Shutdown Special is not available for members of Congress.

For reservations, travelers can go to and enter promo code: Shutdown. Visitors will be asked to show a valid ID at check-in. 

A majority of Aqua Hospitality properties across its three brands of hotels - Monogram Hotel Collection, Aqua Hotels and Resorts and Lite Hotels - are participating in the promotion.
