Aruba to Launch New Agent-Friendly Website, Invest $10 Million in Marketing

Travel Agent learned Thursday that the Aruba Tourism Authority will be relaunching its website,, shortly to incorporate a booking engine for agents as well as tools for consumers. We sat down with Geraldine Coutinho, director of North America, and also learned that the destination has been approved for a $10 million marketing campaign that will include both print and television spots all promoting Aruba’s new campaign, dubbed “90,000 Friends You Haven’t Met Yet.”

“We wanted to think of something that set Aruba apart from the rest of the Caribbean,” Coutinho says of the slogan. “And we felt the people of Aruba is what makes us stand apart.”
