Atlantis Announces New Group Activities, Team-Building Challenges for the Summer

atlantis, paradise islandAtlantis, Paradise Island in The Bahamas has debuted an all-new lineup of group activities for stays this summer, offering groups at Atlantis highly unique team-building breakouts.

From a Cartoon Network inflatable obstacle course and group sports to a variety of scavenger hunts, charitable games, and creativity exercises, Atlantis group programs take advantage of the resort’s 141-acre waterscape, the largest open-air marine habitat in the world, Bahamian beaches and the state-of-the-art technology that groups expect.

Home to a variety of accommodations and more than 500,000 square feet of function space, the brand-new and best way for groups to experience Atlantis is through booking the All-Inclusive plan, available for stays August - December 2015-2017, which bundles many of these team-building activities with dining plans, daily amenities, accommodations and more.

This summer, groups can take a break from the Conference Center and try out some of these activities. Here is a sampling of some of the activities being offered:

Cartoon Network Inflatable Obstacle Course (June, 19 – August 22)

Cartoon Network takes over Atlantis again this summer with a 9,000-square-foot, custom-made inflatable obstacle course at Paradise Lagoon. Groups can rent out the course for a raucous relay to put their teams’ athletic and participation skills to the test.

High-Tech Scavenger Hunts

“Tablet hunts” are state-of-the-art scavenger hunts using iPad apps loaded with video, photos, and audio challenges that direct teams throughout the expansive resort.

JUN-CAN-OO

Inspired by the Bahamian Junkanoo Parade, groups create fun sculptures out of canned goods and other nonperishable items, before donating the creations to the local charity of the group’s choosing.

Build A Boat & Hope It Floats Regatta

In this team competition, groups will work together to design and construct a cardboard boat and race it, hopefully, across the finish line.

The Amazing Atlantis Race

Each group receives a custom Amazing Atlantis Race booklet and conquers challenges throughout the resort (up to 200 people can participate).

Climber's Rush

Atlantis’ climbing facility offers 12 different climbing surfaces, and groups can select from a variety of difficulty levels, including a group climb clinic.

Golf

Atlantis’ Ocean Club Golf Course, an 18-hole championship course playable by all levels, offers group lessons with Ocean Club Golf Academy instructors.

Atlantis is home to more than 200,000 square feet of indoor function space, including a Conference Center, and more than 300,000 square feet of outdoor function space spread across 21 unique locations. The newest addition to Atlantis event space is Ocean’s Edge at The Cove, a multi-use beachside venue and an ideal setting for groups seeking a private yet elaborate scene for an event.
