Barcelona Gets New Renaissance Hotel

Big news from Barcelona today, where Marriott International announced the opening of the Renaissance Barcelona Hotel, formerly the Diplomatic Hotel, which has just emerged from a major renovation.

The property is close to the Paseo de Gracia, one of the city's major shopping districts. Other historic landmarks just minutes from the hotel include Plaza Catalunya, Las Ramblas, Boqueria market and Barrio Gotico—the city's Gothic Quarter.

Views of the Barcelona skyline can be taken in at La Terrassa, the hotel's rooftop bar and lounge with flowing waterfalls; dining options include the CRU Steak House and cosmopolitan CUIT Bar and Lounge.
