Beverly Hills Hires New Executive Director

Seasoned hospitality marketing executive Julie Wagner was recently elected to oversee the tourism efforts for the City of Beverly Hills as the executive director of the Beverly Hills Conference & Visitors Bureau (BHCVB). In her new role, Wagner will lead the strategy, development and implementation of all efforts for BHCVB.

“We are thrilled to name Julie Wagner as executive director of Beverly Hills Conference & Visitors Bureau,” said Bill Wiley, board chair of the BHCVB. “The next few years are exciting times for tourism in the city with the opening of a new visitors’ center and a centennial celebration on the horizon. Julie’s background as a strategic marketer makes her well suited to lead our destination’s marketing efforts.”

Wagner brings more than 25 years of luxury and hospitality marketing to her position.  Most recently, Wagner spent 18 years at Hilton Worldwide in a variety of marketing capacities, serving as director of international marketing and most recently as senior director of brand marketing for Hilton’s luxury and lifestyle brands. In this role, Wagner oversaw the development and execution of marketing strategies for Hilton’s three luxury brands and was charged with growing awareness and premium positioning. Prior to her work with Hilton, Wagner worked at Princess Cruises, developing the company’s direct marketing program for its past passenger organization. Wagner joined the BHCVB as marketing director in June 2010.
