Cancun-Riviera Maya to Host Third Annual Food & Wine Festival

The Wine & Food Festival Cancun-Riviera Maya will hold its third edition from Thursday, March 13 through Sunday, March 16, 2014. Visitors will fly to the beach destination to sample a selection of gastronomy and wine offerings from the Americas' continent.

The theme is Europe Meets the Americas, and the 2014 event will celebrate France, with the participation of Chef Daniel Boulud. From Mexico, the festival will honor Chef Guilelrmo Gonzalez Beristain, from Monterrey.

These Celebrity Star chefs will be accompanied by 50 chefs from Canada, the United States, the UK, Mexico, Brazil, Chile Colombia, Guatemala, Peru and Venezuela. 

Sommeliers and neologists, including some of the best sommeliers of Mexico and the world, will offer tastings from the Americas, Europe and MExico, in addition to mescal and other spirits.

The festival will present its popular "all-inclusive" gourmet day under a mega-tent, ocean front: the Gourmet Tasting Village, where French wines, gourmet products and pastries, as well as arts de la table will be presented to the attendees. The star restaurants of Cancun-Riviera Maya will offer their best dishes with wines from up to 55 wineries from the entire American continent, Mexico and Europe.
