Capella’s first resort in the Caribbean, Capella Marigot Bay Resort and Marina in St. Lucia, is augmenting its culinary team by appointing Isaac Novoa as food and beverage director. Novoa will oversee the hotel’s food service operations, the Capella Marina’s signature restaurants and bars as well as introduce exciting new dining concepts that will all be in place after renovations this summer.
Novoa is no stranger to the Capella brand having served with Capella Pedregal in Cabo, Mexico, and was part of the team responsible for securing a coveted AAA Five Diamond Award in 2013 for the acclaimed Cabo resort.
Novoa joins Capella Marigot Bay Resort and Marina from Capella Pedregal in Cabo, Mexico, where he was the banquets and bar manager. During his time at Capella Pedregal for the past six years, he was responsible for developing menus and helming employee training for all the four dining outlets.
Novoa’s dynamic role also saw him in charge of operations and event planning for incentive groups, guest conference services, and weddings at Capella Pedregal. Novoa achieved great success during his time at the resort and maintained a number one ranking in Capella’s internal customer satisfaction survey, going on to be recognized as the "Best Front Manager" in 2011 by the resort’s general manager and executive team.
During his tenure at Capella Pedregal, influential local publications such as Cabo Social Magazine also named the resort’s El Farallon “Best Restaurant in a Hotel” and this culminated in the prestigious AAA Five Diamond Award being bestowed on the property in 2013.
