Capsule Hotel Opens in Heathrow Airport

Delta Air Lines is teaming up with capsule-hotel company YOTEL at Heathrow's Terminal 4 to offer arrivals facilities to premium passengers arriving on its services from the United States. The arrivals lounge facility is available to Delta, Air France and KLM passengers traveling in BusinessElite on Delta-operated flights, as well as Diamond and Platinum SkyMiles Medallion members and Flying Blue elite members.

Effective today, eligible passengers arriving into London Heathrow on Delta flights from Atlanta, New York-JFK, Minneapolis or Detroit will be able to spend a night in one of YOTEL's cabins. These feature a bathroom with monsoon rain shower, a dedicated work area with free WiFi, a flat-screen TV, and rest area with handmade organic beds. YOTEL is situated in the arrivals area of Terminal 4 on the mezzanine level.

Delta recently announced that in partnership with Air France KLM it will add an additional daily flight between London-Heathrow and New York-JFK, effective September 20. The extra flight will expand Delta's service between the two hubs to three times daily on a year-round basis. Delta's flights to and from London Heathrow are operated using dedicated Boeing 767-400ER aircraft featuring Delta's new full-flat beds in BusinessElite.
