The International Cultural Exchange Group (ICEG) is set to debut a showcase of Chinese lanterns at “Global Winter Wonderland 2011” in Santa Clara, California, from November 25, 2011 to January 2, 2012.
The event will be held in the parking lot of California’s Great America theme park, and it will include hand-painted lighted replicas made of silk and wire of 40 structures representing locations around the world. The celebration will also feature a Global Marketplace, live entertainment and holiday cuisine.
Admission is $12 for adults and $10 for children (5-12) and seniors (62+).
Chamber of Commerce Convention-Visitors Bureau President and CEO Steve Van Dorn said, “The event will make the city of Santa Clara a new holiday destination when visiting Northern California.”
