Beginning in February 2013, Chugach Powder Guides will be offering heli-ski and snowcat skiing packages for guests from its headquarters in Girdwood, Alaska.
The company is also premiering three films this fall including “Superheroes of Stoke,” which showcases its main operations in Girdwood, Alaska. Chugach Powder Guides hosted professionals, such as Elyse Saugstad, Ingrid Backstrom, Cody Townsend, Mark Abma and Richard Permin, who were captured in the film. Chugach Powder Guides’ heli-ski adventures at Winterlake Lodge in Southcentral Alaska’s Tordrillo Mountains are also featured in the movie.
The Teton Gravity Research film, “The Dream Factory,” which opened on September 15, includes a snowcat skiing segment with Chugach Powder Guides in Girdwood.

“Our programs are tried and true models for a successful guest experience, whether they are professionals or intermediate skiers, and we’re looking forward to another incredible heli-ski season this winter.” said Chris Owens, brand manager at Chugach Powder Guides.
Alyeska Resort, Alaska’s only year-round, full-service destination resort, which serves as home base for clients and allows packages to be combined with resort skiing, is also located in Girdwood.
Five- and seven-day heli-ski packages start at $5,400 and $7,400, and include lodging at the Hotel Alyeska, airport transfers and some meals. Heli-ski guests also have the opportunity to book “snowcat backup” seats, a guaranteed spot in the snowcat on days that the weather does not allow for heli-skiing.
