The National Museum of Organized Crime and Law Enforcement, otherwise known as The Mob Museum, in Las Vegas will be throwing a Repeal Day Party on December 5 to toast the 1933 termination date of Prohibition.
The celebration will take place from 7:00pm to midnight where, for $40 ticketholders will be granted access to the museum, can attend the “Boss of the Bars Cocktail Competition,” participate in the “Roaring 20’s Costume Contest,” enjoy a special menu from Relish (Jolene Mannina’s event planning company), purchase cigars, play various casino and table games, and bask in the throwback ambiance set by the sounds of swing Jazz and cabaret dancers performing in the background. For an additional $20, VIP tickets can be purchased for early (6:00pm) access, a gift of a Repeal Day flask, drink tickets for two complimentary beverages, a 1920’s-style dance class, as well as all of the aforementioned party features.
Guests staying at the Downtown Grand Hotel & Casino can purchase an exclusive “Repeal Day Hotel Package” for $189 (valid only for Friday, December 5th), offers a one-night stay for two in one of its Deluxe Rooms, two regular tickets to The Mob Museum’s Repeal Day celebration, two signature cocktails, two bowls of Hangover Oxtail Soup (a special S+O restaurant recipe that guarantees post-party relief), and a late, 2:00pm checkout. Visitors who wish to stay in a Premium Room and receive VIP event tickets are able to upgrade to a $249 Repeal Day package.
After a 7:00pm toast by Las Vegas mayor, Oscar Goodman, activities, competitions, and prize giveaways will ensue.
