Colorado Ski Resorts Announce Opening Dates for Winter 2014 to 2015

Colorado ski resorts have announced their opening dates for the ski season. Arapahoe Basin was the first resort to open its gates this year, making it the first to do so the past 3 years in a row due to supreme temperature for making snow in addition to natural snowfall. Arapahoe Basin and Loveland Ski Area are at a high elevation which allows them to be colder and stay open later in the season, contributing to Colorado’s title as the state with the longest ski season in the U.S. Other resorts, such as Cooper Mountain, Winter Park Resort, and Telluride Ski Resort, have been preparing snow for the past few weeks and getting ready to open as well.

With last year being a record high for skier visits, Colorado ski resorts spent the summer improving their facilities and are looking to expand their programs and advance their technology for an overall better experience for the guests by including a new smartphone app and multi-mountain pass products.
