Continental Airlines is sponsoring the Caribbean Media Exchange on Sustainable Tourism (CMEx) in San Juan. Media and tourism delegates from across Latin America and the Caribbean, North America and Europe will examine the theme "Enhancing Culture and Protecting Ecology through Tourism," exploring topics such as the impact of global warming on small island developing states; protecting and promoting Caribbean cultural tradition; aerial highways; energy conservation and recycling; multi-destination tourism; and crossing the old Colonial boundaries to build a multilingual Caribbean culture. As far as energy conservation goes, Travel Agent has stayed at many resorts in the Caribbean that only use solar energy and have adopted methods to recycle non-drinking water.
