Crowne Plaza Brand Comes to Vietnam

InterContinental Hotels Group will manage a new 500-room hotel in Danang, Vietnam under its Crowne Plaza brand. The Crowne Plaza Danang, being developed at a cost of $52 million, is scheduled to open in early 2009. It will be located in the beachfront district of Ngu Hanh Sonh, with panoramic views of China Beach. Danang is Vietnam's fourth-largest city and third-largest commercial port and the Danang Tourism Department has set a target of 2 million tourists a year by 2010, paired with significant anticipated growth in business and meetings and incentives travel.
