Crystal Cruises Excises Trans Fats

In the wake of Royal Caribbean's announcement to cut out trans fat from its menus, Crystal Cruises is following. The luxury cruise line has said its menus will go trans-fat free effective immediately, a move in response to growing public sentiment for healthier food selections. While trans fat is a cheaper food preparation oil, Toni Neumeister, the line's vice president of food and beverage operations, says that guest health priorities overshadow potential cost.
