Delta Vacations has added vacation packages for St. Croix in the U.S. Virgin Islands to its Caribbean portfolio.
Bookings open today for travel beginning Dec. 20. The move builds on Delta's resumption of service to St. Croix, which the airline announced back in June.
Delta Vacations is initially offering agents five hotels from which to choose:
The Buccaneer – 4.5 Star
Family-owned and operated since 1948, The Buccaneer is a 17th century historic landmark situated on 340 tropical acres with an 18-hole championship golf course, spa, shopping arcade and three beaches. Room locations range from a hilltop Great House, where Alexander Hamilton lived as a child, to bungalows on the ocean's edge. The Buccaneer is a member of Historic Hotels of America, a division of the National Trust for Historic Preservation.
Renaissance St. Croix Carambola Beach Resort & Spa – 4.5 Star
The Renaissance St. Croix Carambola Beach Resort & Spa is located on St. Croix's northern coast along Davis Bay and near the Carambola Golf & Country Club. This resort has an outdoor pool, spa and restaurant and bar.
Divi Carina Bay Resort & Casino – 3 Star
The Divi Carina Bay Resort & Casino in St Croix is an all-inclusive beach resort. The resort offers beachfront guestrooms and hillside suites with views from private balconies, a Las Vegas-style casino, onsite PADI 5-star dive shop, four restaurants, four bars, two freshwater swimming pools, activities and nightly entertainment.
Palms at Pelican Cove – 3 Star
The Palms at Pelican Cove has 40 rooms on the water's edge. Activities range from scuba diving to beachside yoga. This beachfront resort is a good fit for romantic getaways, family vacations and nature lovers.
Sand Castle on the Beach – 3 Star
This 21-room resort is on a stretch of beach near Sandy Point peninsula just outside the colonial town of Frederiksted. Children 16 and older are welcomed when accompanied by parents.
