Demand Prompts Holland America to Add More Alaska Excursions

Holland America is noting an uptick for more adventurous excursions in Alaska. The line is obliging. Guests will now have more than 250 excursions and day tours to choose from, such as flightseeing tours that combine glacier treks or ziplining through forest canopy.

In Sitka, three new active tours include the Volcano Coast Exploration by ocean raft; an Ultimate Adventure Combo—Volcano Exploration by ocean raft and 4x4 Adventure; and Sea Mountain Golf. In Skagway, two longer tours combine multiple elements to provide a comprehensive overview of the area: Klondike Summit, Suspension Bridge and Salmon Bake; Klondike Gold Dredge, White Pass Rail and Scenic Highway Expedition. Juneau’s new tours include Alaska Whales and Rainforest Trails (available on Westerdam and Zuiderdam only) and Rainforest Canopy and Zipline Adventure. A new zipline has also been added in Ketchikan.
