Disney Unveils Future Projects at Everest Launch

Disney is looking to unveil a new 30-minute "Finding Nemo" themed musical stage show at Animal Kingdom late this year. It will be next-door to the new Expedition Everest coaster in the space Tarzan Rocks' Theater in the Wild once occupied. "Avenue Q" composer Robert Lopez wrote the show's original songs. Epcot Center will also add "Sea With Nemo and Friends" this fall, with characters from the movie swimming with live fish in the Living Seas exhibit; the plot takes up where the movie left off. The Pirates of the Caribbean attraction in Florida closed last month, but will open again July 7 in time for the second "Pirates..." movie, "Dead Man's Chest." It will feature both the Barbossa and Jack Sparrow characters hunting for treasure. California's "Pirates of the Caribbean" attraction will also get a similarly themed makeover. From Disney's hospitality side, the value-priced All Satr Resort will be converting some rooms combined into Family suites with kitchenettes to accommodate larger groups, said President Al Weiss.
