El Conquistador Resort, The Waldorf Astoria Collection, in Fajardo, Puerto Rico recently announced several sales team promotions, including Arthur Gordon to the position of director of national accounts.
Gordon joined El Conquistador Resort in 2009. In his new position, he will be responsible for the New York and Canadian markets with continued involvement in the nationwide financial market.
A 15 year industry veteran, Ivelís L. Crespo was promoted to senior sales manager of executive meetings after joining the sales department at El Conquistador Resort in 1994 and holding various positions from sales secretary to site sales coordinator. Crespo will oversee the Northeastern market/territory of the U.S. managing client accounts with requests of 10 - 60 rooms, as well as handling the destination weddings market.
Betzaida Velez, who joined El Conquistador Resort as convention services manager less than two years ago, has been promoted to the position of sales manager for executive meetings. In her new position, Velez will be responsible for the Puerto Rico, Latin American, and International markets for groups seeking between 10-60 rooms.
Ruth Belardo-Vazquez has also been promoted to sales manager for executive meetings. With 14 years experience in the industry, Belardo-Vazquez has worked in the convention services department at El Conquistador Resort for eight of those years. In her new position, she will be responsible for business coming from the Western northeastern U.S. booking 10-60 rooms.
