The Fairmont Orchid, Hawaii, Appoints New Director of Catering

Stephan Miller has been appointed Director of Catering and Conference Services for The Fairmont Orchid, Hawaii. Mr. Miller joins The Fairmont Orchid, Hawaii from The Fairmont Sonoma Mission Inn & Spa where he held the position of Director of Conference Services & Catering.

At The Fairmont Mission Inn & Spa, Miller was responsible for the management and operation of the Conference Services & Catering department which included the hiring, training and development of the Conference Services & Catering team along with the creation of menus and packages. A graduate of the University of Victoria, Mr. Miller also held the positions of Convention Services Manager at The Fairmont San Francisco and The Fairmont Chateau Whistler. Mr. Miller also holds the designation of Certified Meeting Professional and an advanced certificate from the Wine & Spirits Education Trust.

As Director of Catering & Conference Services at the AAA Four Diamond Resort, Mr. Miller will be responsible for the sales, planning, marketing and budgeting of events and meetings in the 102,000 square foot indoor and outdoor banquet facilities.

 With an interest in learning new languages, Stephan is looking forward to adding Hawaiian to his repertoire; a self-professed “foodie,” Stephan is already taking advantage of the fresh, Hawaiian cuisine and seafood the island has to offer.
