Fiji Set to Hike VAT

Travelers bound for Fiji can expect to see an increase in the country's value-added tax (VAT) if the budget before its parliament is passed. Under the new budget, the VAT would rise from its current 12.5 percent to a new rate of 15 percent as of January 1.
