Club Med is adding a new adults-only area to its Punta Cana resort, named the Zen Oasis. The area is scheduled to open this December.
The new area will have 78 guestrooms with rainfall showers, large soaking tubs, chromatherapy lighting and L’Occitane products, according to a Club Med release. The rooms will also have wellness amenities that include yoga mats and outdoor daybeds on private terraces or gardens.
The Zen Oasis will also have a zen pool with in-water lounge chairs, a lap pool, a beach, a palapa for yoga lessons and a wellness bar serving healthy smoothies, teas, snacks and cocktails.
The area will be situated along the northeast edge of the resort. For events, there will be meeting rooms with floor-to-ceiling windows looking out over garden and Caribbean views. A mini-buyout program will offer groups the chance to take over the entire Zen Oasis area.
Club Med Punta Cana is also set to launch Club Med CREACTIVE by Cirque du Soleil in June 2015, which aims to offer guests the chance to learn acrobatic and artistic circus arts. Additionally, a gym renovation and expansion will add new equipment and a new fitness concept.
