Four Seasons Continues Middle East Expansion

Joining sister properties in cities such as Amman, Damascus, Doha and Riyadh, Four Seasons Hotels and Resorts is about to unveil its newest hotel: Four Seasons Hotel Beirut.

“Perfectly situated in the Mediterranean gateway that links Europe to the Middle East, Four Seasons Hotel Beirut is an important addition to the company’s portfolio,” notes Kathleen Taylor, president and COO of Four Seasons Hotels and Resorts. “As the foremost hospitality brand in the Middle East, our presence will continue to grow as we open additional hotels and resorts to meet the business needs of the region, and welcome travelers from around the world.”

Although guests will have to wait until December to see the modern structure with interiors that play off Beirut’s nickname of “the Paris of the Middle East,” a sneak peak is available online at  www.fourseasons.com .

Highlights of the new hotel include a roof-top pool lounge that will serve as an oasis by day and the “it” cocktail and tapas lounge by night; a full-service spa that will feature an expansive terrace for both pre- and post-treatment relaxation; and 230 guest rooms, each with its own private terrace offering sweeping views of the Mediterranean, the city of Beirut and surrounding mountains.

With a history going back millennia, “the Paris of the Middle East” has recently been experiencing a renaissance of sorts. Strategically located along ancient and modern trade routes, Beirut is also an important diplomatic centre, home to the United Nations Economic and Social Commission for Western Asia and branch offices of the International Labor Organization and UNESCO.

Four Seasons Hotel Beirut is located just 15 minutes from Beirut-Rafic Hariri International Airport, which brings direct flights from throughout the Middle East and major cities in Europe and Africa. Travelers arriving via private yacht will find an accessible marina adjacent to the Hotel.
