Four Seasons on Lanai Get New Pastry Chef

Delicious news from Hawaii: Four Seasons Resorts Lanai recently appointed Rabii Saber as its new executive pastry chef, overseeing all aspects of patisserie and baking for all the food and beverage outlets, catering and in-room dining services between Manele Bay and The Lodge at Koele. He will oversee the baking program at both resorts.

A native of Morocco, Saber has spent more than a decade learning the art of patisserie at numerous Five Diamond and Five Star destinations. He joins Four Seasons from the Bellagio Resort in Las Vegas. Previous to this move, Saber was pastry chef at the  Greenbrier Hotel and Resort in West Virginia. His other culinary experience includes positions at Movenpick Hotel & Casino in Tangier, Morocco; Hotel Sofitel Diwan in Rabat, Morocco; and Ti Piacerá Restaurant in Madrid.

Chef Saber received his culinary arts degree from the Institut de Techonologie Hoteliere et Touristique in Morocco. He then furthered his studies at Lenôtre Culinary School, a gastronomic school in Paris, France.

Outside of the kitchen, Rabii’s new hobby—since moving to Hawaii—is salt water fishing. He is fluent in Arabic, Spanish, French, and English.
