Germany and Jamaica Connect at Athletic Association Reception

The German Athletics Association hosted a reception last night at the Deutsches Sport Haus in Berlin where German Vice Chancellor Frank-Walter Steinmeier met with Jamaica’s Minister for Tourism Edmund Bartlett.

According to reports, the two discussed the importance of the German market to Jamaica’s tourist industry. Germany is reportedly one of Jamaica’s strongest growth markets.

The German Vice Chancellor congratulated Mr. Bartlett on the success that seems to follow the Jamaican athletics team wherever it goes, and then thanked him for the attention the Jamaican Team had bought both the Games and Berlin, while Bartlett gave his appreciation for the city and its superb job of hosting the games.
