Grand Lucayan, Bahamas Hires New Director of Rooms Division

roderick colebrookGrand Lucayan, Bahamas has named Roderick Colebrook as its new director of rooms division. In his role, Colebrook will oversee the Senses Spa, front office, guest services and retail for the resort, which offers a classic Bahamian experience just 55 miles from the Florida coast.

Colebrook brings years of expertise in hotel and casino management and strong leadership skills to his position at Grand Lucayan. Most recently, he was at Kerzner International in The Bahamas, rising to the position of senior director of casino marketing from an initial role as a project manager in the rooms division. Colebrook developed his leadership style at the Mirage Resort and Casino in Las Vegas, where he was recruited to the prestigious Management Associate Program. He began his career as hotel assistant manager at the Sheraton Grand Hotel on Paradise Island.

Colebrook is a graduate of the University of Nevada, Las Vegas, where he earned a degree in hotel administration and was elected senator for the College of Hotel Administration. He also served as student body president for the school’s 20,000 students. In addition to his hospitality career, Colebrook is an author, songwriter and public speaker.
