You might want to recommend they pay a visit to Honolulu this fall, when top chefs from around the world and Hawaii, led by such renowned local Hawaii chefs as Roy Yamaguchi and Alan Wong, will converge on Oahu to celebrate the islands’ culinary traditions at the inaugural Hawaii Food and Wine Festival, which will be held from September 29 to October 1, 2011.
The three-day extravaganza will feature three exclusive signature events: Streets of Asia: Morimoto and Friends at The Waikiki EDITION hotel; the First Annual Halekulani Master Chefs Gala Dinner Series at the Halekulani hotel; and From Mauka to Makai: Hawaii’s Sustainable Future at the Hilton Hawaiian Village. Each event will showcase dishes that utilize local produce, seafood, beef and poultry.
