Hawaiian Airlines Earns High Marks in November DOT Report

Hawaiian Airlines earned the airline industry’s number one rankings in the categories of on-time performance and fewest consumer complaints in November, according to the monthly Air Travel Consumer Report issued today by the U.S. Department of Transportation (DOT).

Hawaiian had 93.1 percent of its flights arrive on schedule in November to lead all carriers nationwide. Additionally, Hawaiian recorded the industry’s best score for fewest consumer complaints, with DOT reporting only one complaint compared to nearly 677,000 passengers served in the month.

Hawaiian ranked third nationally in the category of fewest cancelled flights in November despite recording only five cancellations out of 5,328 total flights, or approximately 0.1 percent.

The DOT report covers 18 airlines, including eight carriers providing service to Hawaii, and is available online at http://airconsumer.ost.dot.gov/reports/atcr11.htm.
