Hilton Hawaiian Village Adds to Dining Team

Good news for foodies in Hawaii: Hilton Hawaiian Village Beach Resort & Spa has appointed Vincent Robinson as assistant director of food and beverage, and Randy Tyau as assistant manager at Tropics Bar & Grill.  
 
Robinson returns to his home state after spending more than 20 years in various food and beverage positions on the continental U.S.  
 
In his new position, he will assist Food & Beverage Director Maurice Constantin in overseeing the resort’s 16 restaurant, bars and lounges. Robinson started his career at the Westin Kauai as a director of room service and executive steward, before taking positions in Arizona, California, New Mexico and Ohio. Most recently, he was with the Hilton Tucson El Conquistador as its director of food and beverage.  
 
A native of Waimea, Kauai, Hawaii, Robinson graduated from Hawaii Preparatory Academy in Kamuela on the Big Island of Hawaii. He attended the University of Hawaii – Kauai campus, and the University of San Diego.  
 
Tyau brings 27 years of food and beverage experience to the Hilton Hawaiian Village’s year-old beachfront restaurant, Tropics Bar & Grill.   
 
He has served as general manager with JW Marriott Ihilani Resort & Spa’s Naupaka Terrace, Stuart Anderson’s Cattle Company/Black Angus, as well as Big City Diner. He’s also held management positions at Dave & Buster’s and The Elephant & Castle Restaurant and Pub.  He graduated from the University of Hawaii with a degree in psychology.
