A press conference was held at Waikiki Beach Walk this week to announce the 2011 Honolulu Festival and share highlights of the upcoming event.
The Honolulu Festival "promotes understanding, economic cooperation and ethnic harmony between the people of Hawaii and the Pacific Rim region. The events share the rich and vibrant blend of Asian, Pacific and Hawaiian cultures with the rest of the world."
This year, live performances take place March 12 and March 13 at four different venues: Hawaii Convention Center, Ala Moana Shopping Center, Waikiki Beach Walk and Waikiki Shopping Plaza. Entertainment and demonstrations are complimentary.
The Honolulu Festival concludes with a Grand Parade through the streets of Waikiki on the afternoon of March 13.
