Hyatt Opens Upscale Hotel In Kyoto

The Hyatt Regency Kyoto opened in Japan as the city's first luxury hotel. The 189-room property combines traditional Japanese design with modern touches such as flat-screen TVs and high-speed Internet access. Restaurant options include The Grill, Trattoria Sette serving Italian cuisine and Japanese restaurant Touzan. The Hyatt Regency Kyoto also features the Riraku Spa and fitness center. Room rates start at $295. Hyatt operates six properties in Japan: Park Hyatt Tokyo, Grand Hyatt Tokyo, Century Hyatt Tokyo, Hyatt Regency Osaka, Grand Hyatt Fukuoka and Hyatt Regency Fukuoka.
