Anara Spa’s fitness center was wholly refreshed with rubber mat flooring, new Precor cardio and weight training equipment plus free weights.

A $1.2 million renovation refreshed the poolside restaurant, added a sushi bar to Stevenson’s, modernized the buffet at Ilima Terrace and turned Poipu Bay Clubhouse into a quick take-out spot.

The poolside restaurant, The Dock, has been completely renovated and supplanted with Hale Nalu, meaning House of Surf, a contemporary outdoor restaurant. Furthering the resort’s Hawaiian classic theme, the restaurant is vintage surf shack casual with a façade reminiscent of island plantation towns of old with a stylish modern approach. Island artist Brigette d’Annibale produced vintage looking signage for the restaurant in her renowned style.

Lastly, after a full day of activity, the brightly lit Hawaiian sky can be fully enjoyed at the new Fire Pits. Located on a grassy rooftop terrace overlooking the resort’s pools and Pacific Ocean, this is a great spot for stargazing.

New Hydroponic Garden

Earlier this year, Grand Hyatt Kauai Resort & Spa invested more than $300,000 to convert one of their tennis courts into a hydroponic garden to grow lettuce for the resort’s restaurants and events.

The 4,000 square-foot, former tennis court, now farm, produced its first crop in January and is now consistently producing more than 300 pounds per week of the seven types of lettuces grown. Named Kawailoa Farm, the moniker pays homage to the resort owner’s vision of turning dreams into reality for a sustainable future.

New Bath Amenities

Grand Hyatt Kauai Resort and Spa has replaced its guestroom bath amenities with Anara Spa’s signature Coco Mango products.

Amenities include body wash, hand soap, rich, creamy lotion, shampoo and conditioner, making showering delightful.

Anara Spa’s Coco Mango products have been very popular with guests over the years. The products went through a number of formulations but the hotel  has finally returned to the original, which was everyone’s favorite.
