InterContinental to Open Second Hotel in Kazakhstan

InterContinental Hotels Group announced its second property in Kazakhstan, joining sister hotel InterContinental Astana. The 290-room InterContinental Almaty will be a conversion of the Regent Almaty Hotel. Refurbishments of the meeting and event space, lobby and bars are scheduled to begin next month, at which point the property will add 15 new suites. Alper Can Bulcum will stay on as general manager.
