Islander Collection Acquires Villas From Club Med

Mexico-based hospitality management group Islander Collection has acquired five archaeological villas formerly owned and operated by Club Med.

The properties, soon to be added to the Islander Collection, are all located near archaeological sites. They include a hacienda-like inn at Chichen Itza, a UNESCO World Heritage Site that was named one of the new Seven Wonders of the World; a 42-room villa on Mexico’s Riviera Maya within walking distance of Coba; a luxury colonial-style hotel steps from the Cholula archaeological site; a hotel with Mexican design details that’s located in the archaeological zone of Teotihuacan; and a hacienda-type hotel just 200 meters from the ruins at Uxmal.
