JW Marriott Masai Mara Lodge Now Open for Bookings

JW Marriott Masai Mara Lodge has opened for bookings ahead of its spring opening.

Set to welcome guests from April 1, 2023, JW Marriott Masai Mara Lodge will mark the brand’s first luxury safari lodge and will sit within the Masai Mara National Reserve in southwestern Kenya—one of Africa’s most renowned wildlife conservation and wilderness regions. Overlooking the River Talek on the edge of the reserve, the retreat will offer guests a backdrop from which to discover the Reserve’s vistas, wildlife and plains.

JW Marriott Masai Mara Lodge will have 20 private tents, including a Honeymoon tented suite with a private plunge pool and two interconnecting canopied suites, each with a private terrace and jacuzzi overlooking the river and the Mara plains. In addition, the lodge will offer a restaurant, lounge and bar, JW garden, swimming pool, spa and a large outdoor terrace and fire pit area.

The interiors will pay homage to the surrounding natural landscape by drawing inspiration from the elements, inviting guests to be present, connect with nature and enjoy a holistic, wellness-forward stay. The landscape will offer the opportunity to observe the “Big Five” that Masai Mara is home to, including lions, leopards, buffalos, rhinoceros and elephants. Between June and September, the reserve is also host to the annual great wildebeest migration, which sees more than 10 million animals travel a distance of 1,800 miles from the Serengeti in neighboring Tanzania.
