The 343-room Kahala Hotel & Resort (www.kahalaresort.com) in Waikiki has unveiled the first phase of completed guest room makeovers.
The guest rooms and suites have new furnishings, wood floors, windows, carpets, custom Italian Frette linen, towels, plush chenille robes and Floris of London signature fragrance bath amenities. Technology upgrades include high-speed wireless Internet access, Sony 40-inch flat-screen LCD TVs and cordless phones. The next phase of renovation will begin in 2008 with the Dolphin Lagoon wing. Plans are also being finalized for the public areas that will include a combined spa and CHI fitness center, upgrades to the lobby and to the Plumeria Beach House restaurant. These renovations are scheduled for completion by 2009.
